Katherine Kilcullen initially began her career in music, and became involved in computing when writing programs was required in order to use them. In 1992, she founded Casco Computer Education Center and spent 15 years teaching computer programming and robotics to children in grades K-12 in the greater Portland area. She developed the after school and summer programs to focus on using the development of computing skills to reinforce reading, writing and math skills in a collaborative environment. Simultaneously, she provided both hardware and software consulting to a wide variety of businesses in the area. She has recently been working in web development and design.
Ms. Kilcullen graduated from New England Conservatory in Boston and holds Masters degrees from The Citadel in Charleston, SC and Bank Street College in New York.
